With nearly ten years of experience in commercial brokerage community as a tenant representative broker and landlord leasing agent, John is responsible for identifying opportunities that are consistent with UI's mission to be "the best provider of affordable office space" in Chicago. In cooperation with UI’s President & CEO, Vice President of Asset Management and Chief Financial Officer, John coordinates UI's efforts to expand our commercial portfolio.

Prior to entering the commercial real estate business, John served as the senior pastor of a local church and has worked on multiple community based not-for-profit boards. When not pursuing commercial acquisitions, John enjoys his role as husband and father, and plays a lot of golf.

"I have often thought that my background in ministry and serving on community boards would be a liability as I have entered the rough and tumble world of commercial real estate brokerage, but the longer I am in it, the more I realize that my background is an advantage: no matter how you slice it, real estate is about more than numbers, it's about aspirations."
