Urban Innovations shores construction expertise with two new hires

Commercial real estate firm Urban Innovations (UI) has announced that its construction team has welcomed Senior Project Manager Derrick Wille and Project Manager Jake Priester. Both professionals join us from a larger prominent interior contractor in Chicago. With these additions, the company can continue to expand its general contracting business across the Chicago and Milwaukee area.

Derrick Wille’s unique background began in construction accounting and shortly after went into project management.  He now has more than 12 years of project management experience, working on projects like Qualtrics, Shure, and General Services Administration Office Renovation & Consolidation.  His vast experience and knowledge will strengthen the current UI team.  Derrick holds an MBA from Roosevelt University and a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University.  

Jake Priester brings five years’ experience in project management, collaborating on projects from pre-construction through project close-out, including build-outs for major companies such as Perkins Coie, US Foods and Caterpillar. His background and experience focus primarily on commercial interiors as well self-performing work in drywall, rough carpentry, and acoustical ceilings.  At UI he is currently working on several interior office build-outs. He received a Bachelor of Science in technical systems management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
