North Wells Capital tops off 306 West Erie in Chicago

North Wells Capital, and its affiliate, Urban Innovations, Ltd., have reached a key milestone in the development of 306 West Erie in Chicago, as the exterior construction reaches its final height.

North Wells Capital purchased the original structure and lot, in the thriving River North neighborhood, in 2017 and began construction on the project in November 2019. The 306 West Erie development team also includes NORR as architects and ARCO/Murray as general contractor.

Amenities at the property will include an interior tenant lounge and game room, a rooftop terrace, tenant bike rooms and a collaborative open lobby space. This health-conscious, boutique building is positioning itself for the new normal as it will provide tenants with an open atrium stairwell, independent HVAC systems, as well as new elevators, touchless restrooms, and abundant nearby parking options.

“As companies prepare for a better tomorrow, we’re moving forward to bring a transformative workspace to Chicago’s River North neighborhood,” said Jim Fox, CEO of North Wells Capital. “When businesses are ready to return to work, we are ready to welcome them.”

This building, which will double in size when completed, is part of a three-building development project, known collectively as Verso, designed to reinvigorate Chicago’s original creative office submarket. Urban Innovations is the property manager for the Verso portfolio.
